Advantages to Online Dating

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

By Jeff Pesarcyk A quick foray into a bar or a nightclub reveals some of the major shortcomings of looking for romance in such places. A combination of booming bass and shrieking laughter bombards you aurally, while a potent mix of cigarette smoke and spilt beer assails your olfactory senses. Eventually, amidst the human chaos of the locale, a figure from the opposite side of the room piques your interest. You fight your way through the crowd in the general direction of him/her and suddenly find yourself screaming in their ear because of the aforementioned noisy surroundings. The best case finds you exchanging hastily-scrawled phone numbers with the other person or following them out the door, while the worst case finds you feeling rejected and dejected. Even the middle options are less than desirable; often, the person that attracted you physically does not do the same mentally or emotionally, and youre stuck at an impasse with a minimum of things to talk about. The truth is that dating in the traditional sense and settings is a distinctly hit-or-miss affair, and a largely impersonal one at that. You find yourself drawn to another person not because of their intellect or their personality but rather because they are physically attractive. As anybody who has lived and loved can attest, meaningful relationships are not built solely on the foundation of physical attraction. You dont know the person at the other end of the bar from a stranger, however, and thus you have no idea if their beauty is in fact skin deep. Furthermore, even an indication that there is something else beneath the surface is hardly cause for relaxation; given the uncertainty of the other partys history, there is no telling what sort of baggage you might be leaving with. Online dating offers solutions to these problems in many cases. For one thing, instigating romantic contact online markedly increases in your favor the odds that the other party is interested. Think about it: How many times have you browsed online classifieds without the barest trace of purpose or desire? Having a receptive partner is half of the battle in itself. Beyond that, online dating increases the likelihood of finding something beyond the initial attraction to sustain prolonged interest. Thats not to say that physical attraction plays no role in online dating; photos are often associated with online personals, and as in life the most powerful impulses are often the visceral ones. However, the pace of online dating allows you to find out a bit more about the other party than you would be able to in a different setting. By the time you read their personal ad and their writing and (hopefully) exchange correspondence with them once or twice, you will probably have a decent idea as to whether the other person is the type that you would like to continue contact with. If no, it is an easy affair to cease contact since neither party is intimately involved. If yes, however, the base for a successful relationship has already been laid by communication. Suffice it to say, online dating today has lost its taboo status. Rather, it represents a viable alternative to those singles who are tired of continually finding the wrong person in the wrong environment. http://www.online-dating-tips-guide.com - Provides advice and tips about online dating. Low Gi Weightloss Plan

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

By Clifford Lindsay Low Gi Diet Weightloss Plan that can help you lose 19 pounds in 21 days So what is Weightloss really all about? The following report includes some fascinating information about this Weightloss diet plan you can use, not just the old stuff they used to tell you. When you’re learning about something new, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of relevant information available. This informative article should help you focus on the central points. It seems every couple of years there seems to be some new Weightloss diet plan that takes the headlines and creates a media storm. This time it’s the turn of the Glycaemic Index or GI diet to jump into the spotlight. But before dismissing it as just another ’slimming craze’ there’s some good news: this is a diet plan that most nutritionists and dieticians actually like. What exactly is the Glycaemic Index? In 1981, professor of nutrition Dr David Jenkins was looking at how different carbohydrate-rich foods affected blood sugar levels in people with diabetes and discovered that, contrary to popular belief, many starchy foods affected blood sugar levels quite dramatically, while some sugary foods had little effect. From his research, he developed a scale called the Glycaemic Index, which quite simply ranked foods based on the effect they had on weightloss and blood sugar levels. How it works The Glycaemic Index runs from 0 to 100 and usually uses glucose - which has a GI value of 100 - as the reference. The effect other foods have on blood sugar levels are then compared with this. In simple terms, the GI index tells us whether a food raises blood sugar levels dramatically, moderately or a little bit. Foods that have only a slow, small effect on blood sugar have a low GI value, while those causing a rapid and massive rise in blood sugar have a high GI value. So what’s the link with weight loss? The theory behind diets based on the Glycaemic Index is that foods with a low GI value slowly release sugar into the blood, providing you with a steady supply of energy, leaving you feeling satisfied longer so that you’re less likely to snack. In contrast, foods with a high GI value cause a rapid - but short-lived - rise in blood sugar. This leaves you lacking in energy and feeling hungry within a short time, with the result that you end up reaching for a snack. If this pattern is frequently repeated, you’re likely to gain weight as a result of constantly overeating. Many Low Gi Diet lists divide the foods into low, medium/moderate and high categories. Foods in the low category usually have a GI value of 55 or less; in the medium category, a GI value of 56 to 69; and in the high category, a GI of 70 or more. This Glycaemic Index Tables gives examples of the GI values of food. You might be surprised by some of the foods included in the low and high categories - for example, ‘healthy’ rice cakes and branflakes actually have a high GI whereas salted peanuts and milk chocolate have a low GI value! How do GI diets work? Diets based on GI index simply encourage you to eat plenty of foods with a low GI value and avoid those with a high GI value. This helps to prevent swings in blood sugar, helping you feel fuller for longer. However, most GI diets plans also recommend cutting down on fat, especially saturates. This means many of the foods which have a low GI value but are high in fat - whole milk, crisps and chocolate, for example - are still limited. What affects the GI value of a food? There are several things. Firstly, the overall nutrient content of a food will affect its GI. For example, fat and protein affect the absorption of carbohydrate. This helps to explain why chocolate, which is high in fat, has a low GI value. It also explains why high-fat crisps have a lower GI value than low-fat jacket potatoes. Whole milk also has a low GI value because it’s packed with protein and fat. How you cook a food, the degree of processing and the ripeness and variety of a fruit, for example, also affect its GI. Even the structure of the carbohydrate itself influences the GI. For example, processed instant oatmeal has a higher GI than traditional rolled oats used to make porridge. This is because, as a result of the processing, the starch in instant oats is more easily exposed to digestive enzymes, causing it to break down and enter the bloodstream more rapidly. Meanwhile, some foods have low GI values because they are packed with fibre, which acts as a physical barrier, slowing down the absorption of carbohydrate into the blood. So what happens when I eat a meal? GI index charts only identify the effect different foods have on bloods sugar levels when they are eaten on their own and, consequently, many nutritionists believe this is one of the main problems with GI diets. Basically, when eating a mixture of foods together as in a meal, the GI value of that whole meal changes. As a guideline though, the more low GI foods you include in a meal, the lower the overall GI value of that meal will be. Consequently, it’s possible to follow a GI diet that’s packed with fat and lacking in many of the nutrients you need to stay healthy. However, you should follow the advice of most GI diet plans, in cutting down on the amount of fat you eat. For example some plans may recommend avoiding many of the high-fat, low GI foods. like for instance choosing skimmed milk over whole milk. General advice With weightloss GI diet plans you shouldn’t get too hung up about avoiding all high GI foods because when foods are eaten together in a meal, that meal can have a very different GI value to the individual foods it contains. How much weight can I expect to lose? Most GI diets suggest you will lose around 1-2lb a week, possibly with a slightly greater weightloss in the first few weeks when your body loses water as well as fat. This follows the guidelines recommended by nutrition experts. How does it differ from the other Diet Plans? Unlike other diet plans which bans most carbohydrates, especially in the early stages. The GI diet plan actively encourages you to eat many carbohydrates and antioxidant-rich fruit and veg. The diet plan is also high in fibre which means you’re less likely to get constipated and, because carbohydrate isn’t restricted to any great degree, you won’t get the other unpleasant side effects associated with some Diets Plans, such as bad breath and headaches. GI diets also tend to follow healthy eating guidelines, and are low in fat, especially saturates. And if that’s not enough, GI diets are much easier to follow if you are a vegetarian! Health benefits of the GI diet? Following a weightloss diet plan; that includes plenty of foods with a low GI index may have a role in helping to prevent or reduce the risk of getting Type 2 or maturity-onset diabetes, according to experts at Diabetes UK, the largest diabetes organisation in the UK. Research has also shown that lower GI diets can help improve levels of ‘good’ cholesterol and so may reduce the risk of heart disease. At last, here’s a weightloss diet that’s popular with the media but still follows basic healthy eating guidelines. The diet generally contains plenty of fruit and veg, and recommends eating fewer refined and sugary carbohydrates. Meanwhile, if you want to give the diet a go, always remember to apply the general principles of healthy eating - a healthy diet wouldn’t recommend including huge amounts of chocolate, crisps or whole milk and neither should a GI weightloss diet. Having said this, there’s little to argue about with a weightloss diet that recommends swapping baguettes and bagels for wholegrain breads, cornflakes for porridge, and white rice for wholemeal pasta. I trust that what you’ve read so far has been informative. The following section should go a long way toward clearing up any uncertainty that may remain. Most of this information comes straight from the weightloss pros. Careful reading to the end virtually guarantees that you’ll know what they know. If you’ve picked some pointers about weightloss that you can put into action, then by all means, do so. You won’t really be able to gain any benefits from your new knowledge if you don’t use it. It makes sense to follow a Low Gi Diet Weightloss Plan program that is easy to follow, using a simple step by step method that will ultimately help you to lose those pounds making you feel healthier and more energetic. http://www.dietweightlossonline.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Clifford_Lindsay http://EzineArticles.com/?Low-Gi-Weightloss-Plan&id=151886 diet pills with phentermine phentermine overnight without a prescription phentermine from us pharmacy buy phentermine on line without prescription

Out of This World - Shamanism Healing

Monday, January 28th, 2008

By Eric Cho Many of the ancient cultures of the world adhered to one or the other form of Shamanism. This is a tribal healing tradition where a Shaman is said to transcend the boundaries of the conscious world and travel to a world unbeknown to the ordinary man. Here, the Shaman converses with spirits and come back with secrets that allows him to heal others, foretell the future, control the weather and even ward off attacks. The word Saman is defined as a technique of ecstasy. A Shaman is a practitioner who is able to enter an altered state of consciousness where he can communicate with the supernatural. He acts as an intermediary between the world of man and the world of Gods and often has the power to descend to the realm of the dead. He leaves his body when he is in trance. This trance is induced by chanting, beating of the drum or passionate dancing. In the more unsophisticated cultures, Shamans even used to take to fasting, ingesting psychotropic drugs or even undergo torture to achieve the trance. As seen from the practices, Shamanism is based on the principle that the world is divided into 2 distinct parts that visible to the ordinary man, and that visible only to the man with powers. In the second part, there is a miraculous world populated by the spirits who influence the world of the living and who are always willing to help. The Shaman acts as a link between the two worlds and works for the benefit of his society. Shamans are therefore experts employed by animistic societies. Healing is the most important function of the Shaman followed by prophecy. Shamanism, in the larger sense of the word, is thus perhaps the oldest form of healing. It is a form of religious medicine that originated more than 25,000 years ago. The healing practices of most of the ancient cultures stem from a shamanic tradition. The Shaman is often credited with magical healing powers and is crowned as the religious or spiritual head of a tribe. He is called upon to treat the sick and to drive away demons. It is important to remember that in most ancient cultures, sickness was considered to be the result of demoniac forces acting on the individual. The difference between the ordinary man and the Shaman is that while the man is possessed by spirits, the Shaman controls the spirits. All this may lead one to believe that Shamanism is an occult practice that is buried in the past and that it has no significance to the modern man. But Shamanism is still practiced all over the world, although it has evolved into different forms. Native Americans are said to perform Soul Flights to heal. In Tibet, the Shamans use a drum to help them in soul retrieval. In Kerala, Shamans are closely tied to the temple and use amulets and music to contact the spirits of the nether world. Shamans in Africa often use hallucinogenic plans to induce trance. Shamanism has found a place in modern day healing because of the importance it places on the soul, mind and spirit. Shamanic healing includes relief from pain, anxiety, stress and emotional healing. It is believed that there is an inner Shaman in everyone a force that can be released if one is able o concentrate hard enough. Unleashing the power of this inner Shaman will help cure maladies that afflict us. Are You Targeting the Right Prospects with Your Small Business Marketing?

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

By Charlie Cook Steve called from Minneapolis to ask how to attract new clients for his auto repair shop. He has been in business for two years and has four trained technicians to keep busy, but he was having difficulty attracting enough new customers. Steve wasn’t just waiting for people to show up at his shop. He regularly mailed letters to new homeowners in the area. His rationale was that people who had just moved into town would be looking for a mechanic before long. Steve wanted to know why what seemed like a good strategy wasnt working. Why was he only getting one or two inquires from each mailing to 500 prospects? He asked me if he was targeting the right people. “Anyone with a car is in my target market, right?” Good question. In theory, yes, any car owner living in the area is a potential client. But in reality, car owners have very different attitudes towards car maintenance. Steve was making the same mistake that most small business owners make in thinking about their target market. He was trying to market to everyone who might use his service instead of targeting the most likely prospects. After trying this for a year, he recognized that this marketing strategy was costly and inefficient. According to Albert Einstein, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Are you getting the number of inquiries and sales you want from your target market? If you’re not getting results then why keep marketing the same way over and over again? The alternative to broad based, costly marketing is to target your prospects more precisely and shape your marketing accordingly. There are three types of people in your target market. First, there are people with immediate problems. These prospects have urgent concerns and want solutions today. In Steve’s case, these are the customers who come in with a flat tire or a blown head gasket. Second, there are people who have a problem or want to improve their situation and are considering a purchase. They need more information in order to understand why they should use your product or service. They may take more time to reach a decision to buy. Again in Steve’s case, these are people who need their disc brake pads replaced before they fail and cause more costly damage, or who could be getting better mileage with a properly tuned engine, or who should purchase new tires soon to avoid a potential accident. These are the people who need to be educated in order to make a decision. Finally, there are people like my dear Dad in every target market. It was a point of pride with Dad to see how little he could spend to maintain his cars. He never took a car to a mechanic unless the broken part could no longer be wired back together or the car just wouldn’t start. People like Dad have blind spots in certain areas. The same is true in any business. Some people won’t spend money to fix or repair something even if it’s barely functioning. No matter what you say or do they dont want to be bothered. Their objective is to spend as little money as possible regardless of whether it costs them more in the long run or not. Know anyone like this? Even if you have the perfect product or solution for these people, you’re not going to get their business. They either know it all or dont want to know. Marketing to this group is a waste of your time and money. You’ll get a much better response by targeting your prospects more precisely. That means marketing to what your prospects are looking for. You’ll end up spending less and making more. Steve needed to focus his marketing on car owners who want to fix a problem or prevent one from developing. In Steve’s case a few changes to his marketing letter could make a huge difference. With a few questions he could help his prospects identify their concerns and then give them some helpful maintenance tips that involve his services. You can do the same. With a few changes to your marketing strategy and your marketing copy you’ll get a much better response and see your business soar. 2006 In Mind Communications, LLC. All rights reserved. Bad Credit Personal Lenders

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Kent_Pinkerton]Kent Pinkerton Gone are the days when people with bad credit were snubbed by lenders. In fact, the business of bad-credit lending is booming. Lenders now realize that because of the changing economy, even responsible people sometimes fall into financial ruin and they are now willing to do business with this demographic. If you have bad credit and need to apply for a personal loan, now is the best time. Lenders are more lenient, and you have literally hundreds of them to choose from. When trying to find a bad-credit personal lender, do not limit yourself to traditional banks and financial institutions. While these lenders still rule the financial market, they are generally conservative and give very little assistance to people with bad credit. Banks and other traditional financial institutions consider you a high-risk borrower, and they are, therefore, more likely to turn you down, even after you have paid the application and processing fees. Do not waste your time; go to nontraditional creditors instead, such as online lenders. Online lending is booming because it is the cheapest and fastest way to compare, select, and apply for loans. Start searching through several websites that offer personal loans to individuals with bad credit. Do not sign up for the first one you see; there are literally thousands of bad-credit personal lenders on the Internet these days, which means you have the luxury of shopping around before buying. Do not just compare the interest rates that these bad credit personal lenders are willing to give you. You should also look at other important factors, such as the actual loan amount, terms and conditions of payment, processing time, etc. Beware of some lenders who give you low interest rates only to slap you with high processing and application fees. Take time in studying the smallest aspects of the bad-credit personal loan offered little details make all the difference in the long run. Call toll-free hotlines to talk to customer representatives if you cannot find the answers to your questions on lenders websites, or if you require further explanation. Considerations in Distance Education for the Medical Assistant Instructor

Friday, January 25th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Dr_Mark_Stout] Dr Mark Stout Medical Assistant distance education is emerging to meet the demands of a new generation of students in the twenty first century. St. Augustine Medical Assistant School distance education program for medical assistant presents a good model for this integration of technology with medical assistant education. Distance education, particularly in its most recent form, online education, is being integrated into even the most cautious and conservative of educational institutions. Yet the impact of these alternative forms of teaching and learning on students, faculty, and institutions has yet to be broadly or deeply studied. New models such as that at St. Augustine Medical Assistant School are immerging. St. Augustine Medical Assistant School is available at: www.medicalassistant.us Distance education is not new, and can be traced as far back as the first century. The Apostle Paul wrote to the early Christian churches, instructing them from a distance (even when he was under ‘house arrest’ in Rome). This was probably the first type of ‘correspondence course’, which was the only method of learning at a distance until the advent of the telephone. Today, distance education and in particular online medical assistant instruction calls upon an impressive range of technologies to enable medical assistant instructor and the medical assistant student who are separated by distance to communicate with each other either in real time (synchronous) or delayed time (asynchronous). Currently and asynchronous model used at St. Augustine Medical Assistant School to instruct medical assistant students. This has proven to be a very effective model however the medical assistant program is currently investigating the benefits of synchronous online medical assistant instruction and the benefits it may have for the medical assistant student. Medical Assistant distance learning epitomizes the move away from institute based learning to a more direct, student centered approach. As a concept, distance learning has existed for over a century, notably in the form of paper based correspondence courses including the less formal correspondence education for medical assistants. Now however, distance education is depending increasingly upon technology for its success and technological innovations ensure that distance learning for the medical assistant continues to evolve and grow as a valid and potent force in all forms of education for the medical assistant. The task of the medical assistant distance educator is therefore to obviate these problems as much as possible by mixing and matching techniques, creating and maintaining a stimulating environment, and offering opportunities for medical assistant students to communicate with each other and with the medical assistant teaching staff on a regular basis. The medical assistant educators will also need to change their traditional role as well. Many remote medical assistant students need a great deal of social support, and medical assistant distance educators may find themselves spending more time offering one-to-one tutorials and less time lecturing. St. Augustine Medical Assistant School at www.MedicalAssistant.us is leading todays technology in medical assistant education. When designing medical assistant educational systems and materials for medical assistant distance in delivery the medical assistant teacher must consider not only learning outcomes, but also centered requirements and technical constraints for the medical assistant. Also to be considered are the needs, characteristics, and individual differences of both the students, the teachers and future medical assistants. Medical assistant distance education for the medical assistant then, should not be viewed as a means of reducing costs, but as an opportunity to raise standards. It is also about providing quality medical assistant learning opportunities for those who, for one reason or another, have previously been excluded from this basic human right. Medical Assistant distance education will quickly become the norm and not the exception for the twenty first century medical assistant. St. Augustine Medical Assistant School distance education program for medical assistant presents a good model for this integration of technology with medical assistant education. Healthy Diets - Is this the World’s Healthiest Diet?

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

By Stephen Todd The Japanese enjoy one of the healthiest diets on earth. Japans population has the lowest level of obesity in the developed world and people tend to live longer than any other country. The Japanese diet is an easy and fun diet to follow. Healthy Diets should be Effortless There are major concerns over low or no carb diets, such as the Atkins diet. These diets are not natural, and aside from health concerns, many people find them difficult to follow. The Japanese diet is natural and a sensible way to eat (similar to the Mediterranean diet) and like most healthy diets it is not difficult to follow. The Perfect Healthy Diet for Everyone The traditional Japanese diet is very low in cholesterol, fat, and calories and high in fiber and here are the eight secrets of its success: 1. Eat Rice How many times in a week do you eat rice? For the Japanese it is normally daily. Rice is rich in carbohydrates and proteins it is the basis of the Japanese diet. 2. Eat More Fish The Japanese eat about 70kg of fish per person per year, thats four times as much as the average for the rest of the world. Eating fish (particularly oily fish) lowers the risk of disease and increases vitality. 3. Eat Soya The Japanese eat 10 times more Soya produce than any other nation. Low in calories and fat and high in protein Soya is also packed with plant oestrogen. 4. Variety A recent study showed that Japanese people eat an average of 100 different foods a week, compared to just 30 in other western countries. This well balanced diet provides all the nutrients the body needs. A premium is also placed upon freshness and natural flavor; people like to eat ingredients at their “shun” or “now-in-season” in Japanese. Eating the ingredients in season provides variety and a better way to get all the nutrients you need naturally; also a lot of raw foods are eaten that have a higher nutritional value than heavily cooked foods. 5. Portion Control Portions tend to be smaller and are savored, and it is this portion control that stops binging and over eating. Each portion is eaten slowly, so the stomach has more time to register when it is full. Eating slowly also aids digestion and absorption of the nutrients in the food. 6. Breakfast Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, giving a boost of energy and preventing hunger pangs later. A typical breakfast might include green tea, steamed rice, miso soup with tofu, spring onions and maybe omelette and grilled salmon. Sounds better than Muesli to me! 7. Cook Light In the Japanese diet, food is usually steamed, pan-fried, simmered or stir fried over intense heat. This method of cooking helps the food retain more of the nutrients and particularly anti ageing antioxidants. 8. Enjoy Sweets The Japanese diet has room for these treats. They love chocolate, pastries, ice cream and cookies. The difference is they view them as a regular treat and do not overdo the portions. One of the Best Diets on Earth When looking at healthy diets it is clear that the Japanese have one of the best diets on earth: Low in cholesterol and fat Well balanced A huge variety of foods to enjoy so you will never get bored. Alaska Salmon Fishing: Salmon Fishing for King, Sockeye and Silver Salmon

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

By James Zeller Alaska salmon fishing is closer than you think. A few hundreds miles north of Seattle is the southern most tip of Alaska. Prince of Wales Island is the largest island in North America and the closest Alaska salmon fishing grounds that has extreme fishing success. If you choose not to drive up the Alaska Highway you will arrive in Ketchikan Alaska via commercial airlines, and take the ferry over to Prince of Wales Island or a commercial float-plane will fly you over to the island. There are resorts, lodges and guides that will accommodate you based on your vacation budget. Craig and Klawok are two villages that welcome salmon fishers from all over the world. Coho or King Salmon arrive off the Island of Noyes bringing in the first salmon harvest for the year. There are thousands of miles of inland shores to fish without ever reaching the Pacific Ocean. Most of the king salmon fishing is within a cast of shore. To reach the early arriving king salmon you will need to meet them on the edge of the Pacific as they feed up to the inlets that flow in and around the Prince of Wales. Expect the grandest of fishing trips with the widest array of visual candy. Gray whales, sea lions, sea otters, puffins, geese, bald eagles, loons, seals, majestic mountains, peaceful lagoons, bear, deer, cranes, killer whales, sea ducks and more waterfowl. A week on Prince of Wales will usually show you afternoon showers and then sunshine. The weather in April will be cool but not freezing. Bring a raincoat and pants. Oh, and you are going to see some fish! 30 pound king salmon is not uncommon. 60 pound kings come every year. And dont forget Prince of Wales is one of the best locations to catch barn door size halibut. Silver salmon are 8 to 12 pounds, fight very hard and will show up in huge numbers. You are allowed a 70 pound fish box by the airlines on your return trip. You will fill two of these boxes in 5 days of cleaned frozen filets. Silver salmon are later to show up to the party. Plan on a June trip for silver salmon. You have an option, have some of your salmon smoked. Never have you experienced salmon till you have tried fresh smoked. Sockeye salmon, the most red meat of all salmon is next to last to arrive in late June or July in large schools. Sockeye salmon are usually 4 years old and weigh 5-12 pounds. A local guide and boat is a must for sockeye salmon fishing. Try driving your RV up or staying in a log cabin resort for the ultimate experience. You will dine on Dungeness crab, Alaska shrimp, sockeye salmon and halibut. If you have never fished Alaska you are in for the fishing trip that will make memories for a lifetime! Salmon fishing has been a way of life for Alaskans. For the sports fisherman, salmon fishing in Alaska is a dream come true. Ive been there, you wont be disappointed! Talking to Women - The Pursuit of Material

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

By Erik Michaels Talking to women can be a quite intimidating task…coming up with conversational material has the potential to be very difficult, and nobody wants to be stuck doing the “awkward stand-around silence.” More guys can fall flat due to lack of discussion topics than those who can’t even get a conversation going! Starting a conversation is easy, just walk up and say “Hi.” However, how do you keep the conversation going and build a relationship? One of the big things to worry about when talking to women is making sure you don’t run out of things to talk about…but even having plenty of topics doesn’t really help if they’re not the sorts of topics that will keep a conversation flowing appropriately. I read somewhere recently a good tip on how to come up with some fresh new things to talk about that will be a lot more valuable to you than “Nice weather we’re having, isn’t it?” Pay attention to the news. I know this seems like it could be rather boring, but hear me out here…watching the local news or reading a local paper can come very much in handy when grasping for things to talk about. There’s always SOMETHING going on somewhere, and more often than not you can find something interesting, that’s worth talking about. If you can manage to get a girl talking about something, you’re doing well. Conversations always tend to go better once they really get started. It won’t take up that awfully much of your time, and it’s a good idea to be well-informed about your surroundings anyway. Girls are definitely going to like a guy better if he has a clue about what’s going on around him. No girl wants a stupid guy, and while having a lot of knowledge of current events doesn’t instantly qualify you as smart, it certainly does add a nice bonus to your perceived intelligence. Remember, though, when talking to girls about current events, it’s not enough to just mention something you heard on the news…you kinda have to know what you’re talking about, and how you feel about it. You don’t just identify the news, you respond to it, and so does she, and you respond to each others’ responses…and THAT my friend is conversation. If you’re serious about stepping up your love life, then you could use any and all information you can get. Women are complex creatures, and dealing with them is complex, too. Here, you can find lots of information on how to talk to women and improve your lovelife. Did the love of your life just walk out on you? Find out how to get your ex girlfriend back. What Are These Ugly Dark Patches On My Face That Never Go Away?

Monday, January 21st, 2008

By Naweko San-Joyz A dark patch on the cheek, a brown square on your thigh, a black section on your neck What are those swarthy badges and how do you get rid of them? Those black patches, or acanthosis nigricans, as theyre called in medical circles, could result from insulin resistance. Insulin resistance occurs when the normal amount of insulin secreted by the pancreas is not able to enter the body cells where it is needed. So, to maintain a normal blood glucose level, the pancreas secretes more insulin. Sometimes, when the bodys cells resist or do not respond to these higher levels of insulin, glucose builds up in the blood. This causes high blood glucose or type 2 diabetes. Even people with diabetes who take oral medication or require insulin injections to control their blood glucose levels can have higher than normal blood insulin levels due to insulin resistance. Acanthosis nigricans occurs most frequently among overweight individuals battling insulin resistance. The easiest way to begin removing the dark patches is to safely begin losing weight. Meanwhile, you can resort to skin lightening creams that contain retinols or hydroxy acids. But, the patches will not go away permanently until you have resolved your insulin resistance issues. In rare cases, Acanthosis nigricans could be the result of cancer. If you are not overweight and still experience Acanthosis nigricans, you should see a physician.
